The 2024 Point-in-Time (PIT) Count provides a crucial snapshot of homelessness within the city. The count indicated a 7% increase in homelessness year-over-year, highlighting ongoing challenges and the need for effective interventions.

  • Approximately 25% of those experiencing homelessness are women and girls.
  • About 35% are over the age of 55.
  • A significant portion of adults—around 48%—suffer from serious mental illness.
  • Approximately 40% have a substance abuse disorder.
  • Around 67% reported having a disability.
